Training children to say no to adults is an objective which is hard to reach and on top of this it is instilling a burden on the shoulders of these children, as after being trained they would be responsible for their own fate. We acknowledge that for child protection to take shape a need for attitude change in society is necessary which sees children as individuals with right to development. This includes seeing children as part of social structure, as well as being change agents. Practically this means giving children a say, in the family, in schools, in institutions, in the workplace. Children are not a constructed category but little people who need big rights! |
